As the co-host city of the 2008 Olympic Equestrian Events, Hong Kong is prepared to welcome athletes and to share our cultural heritage with people from around the globe. Hong Kong’s homegrown fashion brand Giordano, has always been devoted to promoting art and developing the creative culture through apparel. Recently, Giordano proudly presents “World Without Strangers - Giordano Tee Project” and invites artists from different countries to take part in the idea of sharing. With collaborations across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, UK and USA, this project reflects the virtue of humanity in an everyday wear. In the spirit of the Beijing Olympic Games, 12 artists from around the world have created a collection of 16 tees under the theme of “World Without Strangers”.
As an official kick-off for “World Without Strangers – Giordano Tee Project”, a press conference and exhibition of the tees were held last week at Xidan Joy City, the newest landmark in Beijing. Artists attended the event included Hidekichi Shigemoto (black ink illustrator from Japan), NO2GOOD (independent illustrator and designer from Taiwan), Rex Koo (designer from Hong Kong), Benny Luk (designer from Hong Kong), WZL (graphic and character designer from Beijing) and Cai Kai (independent designer from China). Together with Mr. Mah Chuck On, Bernard, Executive Director of Giordano and Executive Chairman of Giordano’s Operations in Mainland China, they unveiled the “World Without Strangers - Giordano Tee Project”.
“We are honoured to collaborate with 12 design masters in this project. I am glad to see that Giordano is more stylish, vivacious and artistic by communicating the idea of “World Without Strangers” through the designs of all these talented designers,” said Mr. Mah Chuck On, Bernard. During the event, Mr. Mah also encouraged and cheered on the Chinese athletes participating in the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Starting from 27 June 2008, Giordano “World Without Strangers” tees will be available at Giordano stores, while quantities last (retail price: men $190, women $220).
