KIKS TYO Presents: “Sneaker Lover” Featuring Aki Hoshino Photographed by Yasumasa Yonehara

“Sneaker Lover,” a project conceived and directed by KIKS TYO creative director Shinichi Izaki (aka hobby:tech) and published by Goma Books, marks the first collaborative professional effort between its subject, Aki Hoshino and it’s photographer, Yasumasa Yonehara (米原康正).

The result is 100+ full-color pages of boldly erotic images, set in Hong Kong and Macau, and snapped in the trademark style that Yonehara has become famous for.

By deftly blurring the lines between the worlds of Japanese gravure, urban erotica, street fashion and the sneaker fanaticism shared by fans of KIKS TYO, Aki Hoshino and Yonehara alike, the must have collection both draws from and gives new meaning to its title “Sneaker Lover.”

In addition to the “SNEAKER LOVER” Aki Hoshino Photo Book launched in Japan today, KIKS TYO will also launch 2 special limited edition t-shirts in March.

KIKS TYO, Aki Hoshino and ledgendary Tokyo-based photographer Yasumasa Yonehara (aka Yone) have collaborated on series of six limited edition “Sneaker Lover” photo print t-shirts that complement and celebrate the release of the new Aki Hoshino “Sneaker Lover” photo book. This “In the Bath” tee is one of two available now.

Also, all customers who purchase this tee during the pre-order period will automatically be entered into a drawing to receive the new MEDICOM produced KIKS TYO x Aki Hoshino KUBRICK (blue version). Only 300 pieces were produced. All 300 pieces will be presented to customers who’s names are drawn at the end of the pre-order period (February 15th). (Pink version is for New Balance)

Here is the first look of the great collaboration between KAWS/Original Fake and Nike. Got shocked when seeing this set of photos, the nubuck upper with the trademark KAWS’ “X” stitching and the signature of KAWS “kaws ‘07″ on the insole and under the clear lime outsole. More on the tags of tongues and the lacelocks which also features the cross eyes. No idea about the release info yet.

Successfully grown since 2005 the critically acclaimed adidas by Stella McCartney collaboration is presenting the spring/summer 08 collection for the very first time during London Fashion Week as the official closing event. Highlights are the introduction of Golf as a new sports category within the performance range accompanied by the broadening of the Cover Up section as a follow-up to popular former seasons. The line also features 100% organic cotton pieces within the Washed segment and a new packaging concept with boxes made out of 100% recycled paper alongside the different categories.

After the recent winning launch of Dance for fall/winter 2007 the adidas by Stella McCartney line now hits the ball with Golf as a new category and extends naturally.
